People produce heard of hazing recently due to the deaths of many kids and teenagers. Hazing used to be panorama of as harmless and was considered to be harmless pranks with college students in fraternities. Today, hazing is experienced by boys/men and girls/women in school groups, university organizations, athletic teams, the military, and other social and nonrecreational organizations. Hazing has grown to become a major social problem. Recent incidents obtain been documented in marching bands, religious cults, and other types of clubs. Reports of hazing activities in utmost schools argon on the rise. Hazing is considered to be physically abusive, hazardous, and/or sexually violating. turn alcohol abuse is common in many types of hazing, there are other abusive techniques such as yelling, swearin g and insulting hot members/rookies, forcing participants to wear embarrassing or humiliating attire in public, expending of substances, physical beatings, binge drinking and drinking games, and sexual assault. Hazing is abused generally at the University level. In the Alfred/NCAA survey of college athletes, hazing was defined as, any activity evaluate of someone joining a group that humiliates, degrades, abuses or en risk of exposures, regardless of the somebodys willingness to participate. This does not include activities such as rookies carrying the balls, team parties with club games, or going out with your teammates, unless an atmosphere of humiliation, degradation, abuse or danger arises.
